Cragside was the home of William Armstrong, Victorian engineer and industrialist. It was at Cragside where Joseph Swan first installed a domestic incandescent light bulb.

Cragside
Source is a single screen video, nestled amongst the portraits in the library and next to where the first bulbs were illuminated. It makes a nod to the changes from candle and gaslight to the more modern invention of Swan’s incandescent light bulb and reflects upon the ease with which we accept electrical power today.
