The Imagined Winter Garden Trail
IWT1

A series of artworks made with the residents of Sharrow and displayed in their loved gardens and neglected spaces. The works shared the visions, achievements and memories of the residents and was public for one afternoon only.

The Trail

During a residency with the Community Growers arm of Grow Sheffield The Imagined Winter Garden Trail  was created. An afternoon of playful imagining’s which awakened you to the unused and neglected spaces in the neighbourhood. It was a chance to share & explore the ideas, achievements, memories and visions of some of Sharrow’s Growers. It was also an excuse to have a nose around a few gardens!

The neighbourhood was my own, I worked with residents who grew their own vegetables, be it in small patches between the concrete, on balconies or in buckets.
